2005: Hurricane Wilma
In 1998 I shared with some of you my experiences and feelings during Hurricane George that swept over the Florida Keys on September 25. Since then Key West has been threatened by several hurricanes, but not so much as this summer. Hurricane Wilma was the fourth hurricane this year to impact the Keys. For the first three I was not here, but returned just in time to begin preparations for Wilma. This is my first time to experience a hurricane while on a boat. It is probably the most terrifying 24 hours that I have ever experienced. Thus, I will share this with you.
